- The smallest snakes in the world are Brahminy blind snakes which can be as short as 2 ½ inches long. They are often mistaken for earthworms

8. The heaviest snake in the world is the anaconda. It weighs over 595 pounds (270 kg) and can grow to over 30 feet (9m) long. It has been known to eat caimans, capybaras, and jaguars.
9. Snakes typically need to eat only 6–30 meals each year to be healthy.
10. A snake’s fangs usually last about 6–10 weeks. When a fang wears out, a new one grows in its place.
